JIGSAW BFG
A Cancer Patients support group for BFG; it has been formed for cancer patients, carers and people affected by cancer in the BFG community to let them know they are not on their own should their world be shattered by the devastating news of cancer diagnosis.
Who is it for?
The group consists of past and present cancer patients and their partners. JIGSAW is also for carers and anyone else who has been affected by cancer in any way.
People that have become involved with the Support Group are able to share their experiences, ideas, feelings and fears; give and receive advice and offer and receive emotional support to/from other members who empathise with their situation.
Where and When?
JIGSAW is under going a transitional period at the moment, re establishing itself in JHQ Rheindahlen and hopes to start holding group meets on an informal bases approximately once a month, normally at the Rheindahlen Support Unit (RSU) Welfare Cenre or, on occasion, at an alternative location in the early part of 2012. In the near future, it is hoped that similar JIGSAW support groups will be set up in other garrison areas to offer more localised information, support and assistance.
